Telecom Equipment

Ericsson

Ericsson is the world's second-largest telecom equipment vendor (behind Huawei, ahead of Nokia) and the dominant supplier of 4G/5G Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment for major carriers across North America, Europe, and Asia. Their Radio System portfolio — covering macro cells, small cells, mmWave, and Cloud RAN (vRAN/O-RAN) — powers the majority of US 5G networks (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon). Ericsson's 5G Standalone Core (packet core, IMS, policy) is being deployed globally as carriers transition from EPC. OSS/BSS software (formerly Ericsson, now partly divested) handles network orchestration, billing, and operations. Ericsson managed services operate networks for operators who outsource day-to-day infrastructure management.
